Hygiene and comfort at all stages of an animal’s life

All livestock buildings, breeding materials and run areas are created according to strict specifications that are always respected by the producers and farmers in order to create favourable conditions for an animal’s good health and growth.

Livestock buildings

Livestock buildings are all fitted with ventilation and air conditioning systems according to the different environments which are required for ducks and geese at the different stages of their growth.

Livestock buildings are always maintained according to a specific cleaning and disinfecting process, which consists of several steps (disinfestations, dust control …).

Additionally, this cleaning and disinfecting programme is always followed by a so-called depopulated period when all animals are out and the buildings are emptied for a complete sanitary cleaning.

Outside run areas:

The outside run areas are naturally covered with plants and herbs: if not, they are improved upon a sowing of tailored plant species. These areas are enclosed so that animals remain protected from external predators. They also offer some shaded areas during summer.

According to the specified cleaning and disinfecting programme, the borders of these run areas are always disinfected by agricultural lime.

Food storage equipment is also very well maintained.
