A job performed with passion
The spirit of a web-footed bird breeder
![]() Farmers keep a constant eye on the good
health of their animals |
Livestock and fattening farmers all dedicate large amounts of time and energy to their animals.
All year long, they care for them and have consequently developed an outstanding knowledge of their animals: farmers are able to follow the development of each duck or goose among an entire group, detecting any problem when it arises. |
All the work carried out by a stockbreeder aims at keeping the animals in good health, in order to optimise their growth and the production of high-quality meat and foie gras.
Thanks to their initial education, combined with on-going training and a hands-on approach to daily animal management, stockbreeders are genuine professionals.
They fulfil their job with passion and responsibility, in line with their own or shared commitments, and with regards to all regulations in force.
Confident gestures, gained through experience
Whatever the technique used, the process of goose or duck fattening is a delicate one that requires knowledge, experience, and great care on the part of the breeder.
High professionalism is mandatory as well as a perfect knowledge of animal.
The person in charge the fattening phase must be especially vigilant about the fattening development of the web-footed birds:
- by visual observation, verifying that the animal’s behaviour is normal;
- by touching animal crop to check if meal digestion is normal.
These actions, based on experience, are executed with precision and dexterity.
